Commissions

Commissions Welcome

As a sculptor and artist, many of the pieces I create are requests for unique sculptures to commemorate a specific occasion or memory -- a birthday or anniversary, the birth of a child, weddings, trophies, accomplishments, graduations, the memory of a beloved pet, memories of holidays or special events, or simple thank you gifts. A sculpture can capture a moment in time which can then be displayed and passed on to future generations.

Because many are meant as surprise gifts, I work from photographs which are usually provided by the client. Commissions are meant to be 'one-of-a-kind' expressions specific to a particular client. However, they are also ideas and examples which can be customized as required. Original concepts are more than welcome.

The Toddlers is a prime example of childhood, siblings, and togetherness. At 36" tall by 38" wide by 17" deep, and weighing 22 lbs, the sculpture is created in Winterstone cement and epoxy.  Wolfie, the wire-haired dachshund, is an example of how a beloved pet can be commemorated in air dry clay; weighing in at 30 lbs, he is 5" wide by 18" long by 10" in height. There are other examples of commissioned work shown on the Sculpture page.

A further example of commmissioned figurative sculpture can be found in my Life Size Motions Figures -- The Dancer and The Racing Skier, which were originally created to promote and market business interests. These ideas can be adapted and customized to suit either business or personal subject matter. Further information is available on request.

Please use the telephone or email links on the Contacts page to discuss commissioning a sculpture. We look forward to hearing from you.
